Mexico
Outreach
In 2004 the
vision for the Harris Family Christian Foundation was
born on a dusty road in Southern Mexico. Foundation board
member Steve Quinn and Founder Kurt Harris traveled to
Mexico to work with Missions to Latin America director
Paul Stilwell. Paul and his family are missionaries who
have been supported for many years by the church that
Steve pastors.
Over the past
6 years the Foundation has been a part of several work
trips to Mexico, helping to build churches, and now leads
outreach trips annually to evangelize communities all
over Southern Mexico.
One of our
favorite parts of these trips is the work we do with several
children's homes. In 2008 the Foundation was able to raise
enough money to purchase mattresses for over 170 children
living in those children's homes. We also had the privilege
of delivering the mattresses in person and telling the
children about the love of God that made the delivery
possible.
Each summer
the Stilwell family travels back to the United States
and the Harris family hosts a cookout to help raise money
and awareness for the work in Mexico.
